Search Engines
With billions of searches on internet, Search engines are becoming valuable than ever before. As Google takes the lead, Microsoft and Yahoo are struggling to keep-up with Google.
Google : No doubt No.1
Google's approach is "get on and do it" rather than massive yearly plans. They keep the things simple and smart. Every one likes them, ofcourse Microsoft guys won't admit.
Microsoft Live: will they ever act fast?
If you submit a URL, it takes for ever to get listed, Will they ever make it fast? Some nice features in their academic beta version at live.com
Yahoo Search: They have user base. Are they moneterizing?
Lot of Yahoo users are very happy with Yahoo. Yahoo stives to get good content in their sites. I don't see context sensitive emails around my mail page, Their games are great but wil lthey ever display some cpc ads in these?
Ask.com : Noticed few nice features
When will they get some good search share?
Mahalo : human ranked search results
Great concept Mahalo. Make it more user driven rather than hiring people and asking them to edit. Use Digg's model
See Mahalo at http://www.Mahalo.com
Dogpile : Sort the search engines
Sorts results from Yahoo, Live, google, about for better ones. Good concept...will they prevail?
Vivisimo : Vertical Search
This is my favourite after Google. I like the tree structured sorted results. try it here:
